    • FOUND:  Male, black and white, blue eyes, age unknown, neutered.  Very sweet-tempered dog.  Found on TVA Reservation, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, on Feb. 7, 2011.  For more information, contact:  Lisa, 256-767-8115, LisaHeb138@aol.com
    • "Dude" -- Male, black and white, blue eyes, 6 to 8 years old, neutered.  Good natured, potty trained, bad off leash (like the majority of Siberians), playful, good with cats, great with other dogs as long as he does not feel intimidated.  Dude showed up at the posting party's house about a year and a half ago.  She took him in and kept him for close to a month.  Soon his Siberian nature showed itself and she discovered he wasn't so great off of the leash -- he ran away FAST.  He ended up at the Lee County Humane Society and was adopted.  But, now he has showed up on her porch again about a week ago (mid January).  She would LOVE to keep him, but is a student with another dog and two cats.  He is such a lover, needs a good vet visit, and a family that adores him.  For more information, contact:  Amelia Dixon, 334-695-1698, ameliabdixon@gmail.com
    • FOUND:  "Snow Ball" -- Male, pure white, blue eyes, 13 to 18 months old, not neutered.  Good health.  Very friendly and playful.  Loves to be indoors and gets along with other animals.  For more information, contact:  Jean, (256) 820-7995 or Joe (256) 820-9653, jpcatskin@bellsouth.net
    • FOUND:  "Kai" -- Male, pure white, blue eyes, 18 months to 2 years old, not neutered.  No health problems, current on shots.  Gentle, friendly, playful, and affectionate.  Has been trained to respond to commands and possibly house trained.  For more information, contact:  Brian S, 228-623-2828, mbstout@att.net

      • "Wendy" -- Female, black and white, blue eyes, 4 to 5 years old, spayed.  Very good health.  Fun and frisky, she loves to run.  She likes to play with her male friend, Mozart, a neutered male.  Wendy has been escaping and running far from home.  Owner is not strong enough to care for her.

      • "Mozart" -- Male, light red and white, bi-eyed, 9 to 12 years old, neutered.  Good health.  Friendly and docile.  Great companion.  He sings and talks to you.  He and his friend Wendy have been escaping.  Although he always comes home, she ends up miles from home.

The owner would prefer to place these dogs together.  For more information, contact:  Annie Quinn, quinnannie47@yahoo.com, 479-926-5231

    • "Nala" -- Female MIX, copper and white, blue eyes, 7 to 12 months old.  Shots are up to date.  She is somewhat timid around smaller dogs.  Owner and her fiance have tried, but you just can't wear this little pup out.  She is a ball of fun energy.  Her mommy was a beautiful, all white husky.  Nobody knows what the father was (pitbull?).  The owners don't have the time or space for her.  She needs room to run and play.  Lots of love and caring also.  Likes to sleep right on top of you.  For more information, contact:  John Jackson, 501-802-2413, jpjackson121@gmail.com

    • "Ruger" -- Male, red and white, blue eyes, 0 to 6 months old, neutered.  Current on all shots.  Checked out healthy by the vet.  Great with people, but would not put with small children.  Very loving, loves attention.  He showed up at the posting party's house on Dec. 23.  They took him to the vet and brought him current on all his shots and had him neutered and microchipped.  They wanted to try and keep him but they also have a Chihuahua.  Not only is the Chihuahua the wrong size for a roughneck Siberian, but SHE won't get along with him!  She is 11 years old and has been the only dog.  The owner has also discovered that she is allergic to him.  She has been taking shots, but they are not helping much.  Ruger is a very lovable dog and loves everyone, but is not recommended to be with smaller animals or small children.  For more information, contact:  Jana Thomas, 770-599-1208, cjthomas2241@att.net
    • "Titan" -- Male, grey and white, blue eyes, 13 to 18 months old, not neutered.  Excellent health.  Calm, very obedient, when someone is home with him.  However, he does have separation anxiety.  Current owner does not have appropriate time/funds to deal with his anxiety.  For more information, contact: Tonya, champs4life@live.com
    • "Macy " -- Female, copper and white, piebald, bi-eyed, 2 to 3 years old, spayed.  Up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, on flea and heart worm preventative.  Very Healthy Husky!  Macy need to be the ONLY pet in the house, which is the reason why she is being re-homed.  She loves toys, car rides, and walks.  She has not been exercised in awhile, so a home that will exercise her is a must.  She is not overweight, and given an A++ from the vet as very healthy.  Her teeth are amazing looking as well.  She loves to lounge on the couch, and lay in front of the door so the sunshine can hit her.  She is a very sweet and beautiful girl.  Came from a very abusive situation prior to this home.  Needs to be the ONLY dog.  She currently lives with two other dogs and the situation is no longer working out.  She has very limited time to find the RIGHT home and someone who will love her for 15+ years, and have her as their sole companion.  For more information, contact:  Heather Tucker, hntucker@uga.edu
    • "Kodiak" -- Male, black and white, blue eyes, 9 to 12 years old, neutered.  Good health.  Mild tempered.  OK around children.  He is currently living with small children and tolerates them.  Sometimes playful, other times not so much.  OK around other dogs.  Previously lived with a pug, now lives with a Pekinese with no issues.  Kodiak doesn't get the attention he requires or deserves.  He needs a loving home where he can thrive with lots of space to call his own.  For more information, contact:  Eric Kneeland, 912-322-1320, ekneeland@tds.net

    • "Buddy" -- Male, black and white, brown eyes, 13 to 18 months old, not neutered.  Up to date on rabies and bordatella shots.  Very affectionate, a "people-dog".  Wants to be a 40-pound lap-dog.  Lots of husky traits:  pack-oriented, vocal, playful, loves to run.  Very energetic and needs a large yard.  May not do well with small dogs or cats.  Has been boarding with this rescue group.  The group that "rescued" him has since abandoned him with this second group.  For more information, contact: Michele Stewart, michele.w.stewart@att.net

  • Currently available:
    • "Lokkja-Thor Jaxon Holt" -- Male, red and white, blue eyes, 7 to 12 months old, not neutered.  Very healthy, but not current on shots.  Still a standard Siberian puppy, very mouthy and snaps at small children and animals, stubborn and will not come when called, likes to jump, otherwise very affectionate.  Needs an owner who is familiar with Siberians and how to train them.  Not good with cats or small children.  Owner's yard is not totally fenced and he will not stay in one.  Has (like all Siberians) to be kept on leash.  For more information, contact:  Jazzie Holt, 318-717-2204, draconia_angel7@yahoo.com
    • "Sundance" -- Male, pure white, bi-eyed, 4 to 5 years old, neutered.  Very good health, but needs to be on heartworm and flea medication and needs his shots.  Great dog.  Doesn't bark and loves children and other animals.  Doesn't come well when called (Siberians need to be on a leash), a little stubborn, but extremely intelligent.  Owner had to move into a small RV park, there is no yard and he has to stay on a leash.  He needs a secure area to run and exercise and lots of love and attention.  For more information, contact: Annette Murr, 337-348-7142, amurrmaid2@yahoo.com
    • "Peanut" -- Female MIX, wolf grey, amber eyes, 10 years old, spayed.  Very good health and up to date on shots.  Very sweet, good with children and adults.  Good with all dogs and some cats.  Peanut's energy and demeanor are as playful as any pup.  She even goes running for 2 to 3 miles and she loves it, but the summer seems to be a little more difficult for her, so the current owner has her shaved.  Peanut has never met a human friend that she hasn't liked and she gets along well with other dogs, even small ones, as she has been in the house with 2 Chihuahuas who have bossed her around for the past 3 years.  The current owner acquired Peanut through a friend who was helping out her original owner.  She was only supposed to foster Peanut for three months, while her original owner was getting settled in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, but it is now going on three years, since the Navy will not let her original owner have her over there.  Now, circumstances have changed for the "temporary" home and the time the current owner can spend with her is limited and there is no yard for the dog.  Peanut is in desperate need of a good home, where she has people around and has a yard to run around and play in.  Peanut loves to be out and about, but wants to be inside relaxing with her people.  For more information, contact:  Jennifer, 504-250-7562, jen.lohfink@gmail.com

    • "Jax" -- Male MIX, pure white, brown eyes, 6 to 8 years old, neutered.  Blind, but otherwise healthy.  Very sweet, some anxiety due to sudden blindness manageable with frequent exercise.  Jax is a husky/shepherd mix who went blind from SARDS at the same time the owner's son was born.  Having a lack of time for exercise and a infant/toddler crawling around him is causing him more anxiety than he deserves.  For more information, contact:  Jade Sanders, 828-712-2396, jadereagansanders@gmail.com
